‘Noise’, values and a habit health check.

In a world full of distractions.

In a world full of things to keep us on the go, busy 24/7 and never home, it is so easy to get caught up in the ‘noise’ of life.

In doing so, we create distance and separation from who we are and what we value most.

We spend less and less time at home.

We live life with an externally directed lens rather than an internally focused one.

Going and going and going until something unintentionally slows us down.

I don’t know about you, but I found that after the Summer break, the noise in my world felt slightly quieter?

There was a little more space and time to reflect upon what was important and what wasn’t.

A number of things dropped away.

I decided, not to pick them back up.

My intention this year, is to keep the noise at a much lower volume.

I am carving out more time and space in my life to connect in with myself and my needs.

More time and space to get crystal clear on my values and my priorities for the year ahead.

Whilst also giving my habits a good health check (how often do we really do that?!?!).

Really strengthening my foundations.

Ensuring that they are rock solid before new comes into my world.

I am asking myself:

  • What is most meaningful to me in this season of my life?

  • What do I need most?

  • Which habit/s am I ready to let go of?

  • Which habit/s do I need to strengthen/have I neglected?

  • Which habit/s goals am I working towards building in this year?

My intention, is for 2024 to be the year, I further quieten down the ‘noise’ in my life and more deeply embody, what is most valuable and meaningful to myself and my family.

In a way that is realistic and manageable for me.

Which, I acknowledge, will look different for all of us.

If you too are on this path, go gently. Carve out the time and space to work out how that looks for you and your family.
